Matthew Bratsis

Vice President, Contractor Services

As Vice President of Contractor Services, Matthew is responsible for all lending and finance operations within EGIA. As the founder and creator of OPTIMUS, Matthew used his 30+ years of experience in the industry, understanding of the contractor process and non-stop creativity to streamline and simplify payment solutions for virtually every contractor. Working directly with lending and affiliate partners, Matthew and his team strive to develop cutting edge payment and promotional offerings for EGIA’s vast contractor base. In addition, Matthew leads EGIA’s business development strategy, as well as the design and implementation of finance training content.

After attending Virginia Commonwealth University, majoring in Psychology, Matthew started his journey in finance and customer experience in 1995. He began at American General Finance, followed by stops at Equity Lending, Greensky and Renovate America.

Brynn Cooksey

Founder & CEO of HVAC U, LLC and Certified Master Trainer

Brynn Cooksey Sr., affectionately known as the “Air Doctor,” is a Detroit native and the Owner of HVAC U, LLC. Brynn earned that nickname for his renowned engineering solutions in the HVACR and Electrical industries. After spending 15 years in the Utility Gas and Power industry, Brynn took over his family’s heating and cooling business and rebranded it “Air Doctors” based on his industry-adopted nickname. The Air Doctors team has repeatedly reduced customers’ utility bills by 50% or more with Brynn’s award-winning Building Efficiency solutions.

Brynn studied HVACR technology at Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Michigan, where he later returned to become a Professor and taught the subjects he had learned about. To this day, Brynn continues to train individuals in the industry that he loves and has trained over 10,000 HVAC Technicians, Electricians, and Energy Auditors. Brynn also is a training consultant for mechanical contractors, HVACR supply distributors, and HVACR training organizations. Brynn is a regular technical contributor for the RSES Journal, BPA Journal, and the RSES Webinar series. Brynn holds several degrees and certifications in the HVACR and Building Science industries.

In 2024, Brynn was named one of ESCO Institute’s Top 25 Most Influential HVACR Instructors. The honor was given to instructors who significantly contributed to the HVACR industry.

In 2025, Brynn was awarded the designation of a Certified Master Trainer by the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC).
Additionally, Brynn was named to the Air Conditioning Heating and Refrigeration News (ACHR News) Top 40 Under 40 Professionals list due to his contributions to the HVACR industry.

Brynn Cooksey is an Energy Contributor for Forbes, focusing on writing articles about energy efficiency, building science, and workforce development.

Lisa White

Vice President of Partnerships, Redwood Services

Lisa holds the role of Vice President of Partnerships at Redwood Services, where she plays a pivotal role in the organization’s growth by identifying and bringing new Partner Companies into the ‘Redwood Nation’. Her career trajectory has been deeply influenced by her upbringing in the home services industry, shaped significantly by her father, a Master Plumber of over 40 years. From him, she learned invaluable lessons in commitment to customer service and the importance of caring for people—a philosophy that resonates deeply with Redwood’s motto, “Connection is everything.”

Lisa spent more than two decades at Nexstar Network and was instrumental in their evolution from humble beginnings to what is now one of the industry’s premier best practices group. Her passion and dedication have consistently driven her to elevate standards and pursue excellence.
