How You Can Afford Dealer Fees

"What do I do about high dealer fees?"
Hosts Matthew Bratsis and Donna Decoster began by chuckled through banter on questions about high dealer fees. In the past few years since OPTIMUS was founded, both Decoster and Bratsis have preached to contractors that dealer fees aren't your enemy, and paying them is what enables your business to offer multiple payment solutions from within the OPTIMUS platform.
"Financing and payment solutions are not just for people that don't have money," remarked Decoster.
"It's actually the exact opposite," interjected Bratsis. "It is for people who have money and giving them options in order to either encourage them to buy or encourage them to spend more money."
"You will lose customers if you don't offer the 12-month, no interest, no payment," explained Decoster. "They'll go down the street. I buy with a 12-month no-no, and so does Matthew."
"It's important to offer it," continued Decoster. "And you just blend the dealer fee in."
Bratsis explained that OPTIMUS has training sessions to teach contractors how to mitigate high dealer fees, because there are multiple different methods — with varying viewpoints — on how contractors should pay for dealer fees.
