How to Best Offer Financing to Customers
After the show, one contractor from Maryland asked:
"I need to know how to best offer financing to customers so that it doesn't become an objection later on."
Host Matthew Bratsis explained that if your company has technicians offer financing, you should expect your technicians to be hesitant about initiating a conversation about money with a customer because talking about money is a commonly intimidating subject for many people.
"Stop talking finance with them and simplify it into a way that they can understand," suggested Bratsis.
Bratsis explained that most technicians understand how credit cards, checks, or cash payments work. But they don't always understand why financing can be better for a customer.
"How is the customer going to pay? They have multiple options," said Bratsis. "Using OPTIMUS is the exact same process as a credit card, it's very simple."
In answering a previous question on the topic, Bratsis said, "there's no magic pill, talk to them constantly, train them constantly, put them in front of that situation and they will get comfortable."
Bratsis concluded his answer to the listener question by mentioning that OPTIMUS also offers to come to your region for training sessions with their staff as well.
