How to Get Staff to Give Estimates Based On Financing
After the show, one contractor from California asked:
"I need to know how to get staff to give estimates based on financing."
Host Matthew Bratsis began by saying that it's great to want to embrace new trends in the industry and offer financing as a payment option, but to actually sell customers on financing and close the majority of your deals on it, it must be included in your sales process.
"What it sounds like is that we need to connect you with our resources to help you," said Bratsis. "Have 'good, better, best' solutions so you can present those options with their corresponding monthly pricing."
Bratsis explained that OPTIMUS partners with many of the major financing companies in the home service industry, and that when contractors sign up for OPTIMUS, they also are able to access resources from those partners (on the 'blog' section of OPTIMUS's website), in order to give contractors a step-by-step plan on how to implement a financing conversation into the sale process to increase their average ticket price.
"It's great to have financing," said Bratsis. "But financing without a process to sell financing doesn't work, you have to have both."
'Matt Chatts' is a contractors' best resource for staying informed in the world of contractor financing. All contractors are invited to join Matthew Bratsis, Donna Decoster and their guests to interact and ask questions about the often confusing world of financing in the pursuit of better customer payment solutions.
