How to Find Online Communities to Grow Your Brand
Contractors need to know how to find online communities in the right way. Online communities help to build customer loyalty by creating value for those in the groups, through posts that help customers or inform community members of news or industry trends. But knowing how to interact with groups, either through your business or personal profile, can make a huge difference in the effectiveness of your efforts.
On episode 24 of Matt Chatts, Matthew Bratsis and co-host Donna Decoster brought Colleen Keyworth of Online Access onto the show to ask her about common misconceptions about managing a business's online profile. In the discussion, Decoster asked Keyworth about online communities such as Facebook groups and how a business can use them to boost their online brand.
Keyworth started by explaining that Facebook allows business owners to list themselves as administrators of their own Facebook business pages, and that if they switch their profile to the business page, they can actually join Facebook groups on behalf of the business.
"Some groups don't allow businesses to join," said Colleen, while explaining that a business owner may have to manage groups on both their personal and business pages. "As an individual business owner, you have to do both."
"I know this sounds super complicated, but its really an evening on your phone," continued Keyworth. "If you just sign in and start searching some groups, it's really easy."
